Corporate Partnerships Coordinator

Children’s Hospital Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 that works to maximize philanthropic impact in children’s health at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. We are dedicated to raising and stewarding philanthropic resources that will enable CHoR to become a top, nationally ranked children’s hospital. With roots going back more than 100 years to the incorporation of Richmond’s original children’s hospital on Brook Road in 1920, we are proud to work with generous members of our community to drive excellence in patient care, education and research.

Children’s Hospital Foundation is currently engaged in a $100 million capital campaign to support the Children’s Tower, CHoR’s new home for inpatient, emergency and trauma services that opened April 30, 2023. The new facility completes an entire city block—one million square feet—dedicated to the care of children. 

Position Purpose:

The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator is responsible for supporting the overall work of the corporate fundraising team and supporting the growth of the program. The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will lead the benefit execution and delivery for all Corporate Champions and partners with the direction of the VP of Corporate Partnerships and Executive Director of Corporate Partnerships. The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will build relationships with corporate donors and prospects and will provide excellent customer service to the corporate community. The Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will strengthen donor relationships, provide meaningful touchpoints, and help promote and encourage philanthropic impact. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the benefits delivery of the Corporate Champions Program for all active corporate partnerships and accounts providing excellent customer service. 
  • Interfaces with the active corporate donors to support day-to-day needs around account activation.  
  • Manages volunteer engagement strategy to include activity calendar and logistics for corporate champions/partners.
  • Supports partnership activation plans and stewardship plans for corporate champions alongside partnership managers.
  • Manages in-kind support requests made through CHF, schedules deliveries with CHoR and holds relationships with various CHoR departments to support the in-kind donation program (i.e. Child Life, Recreation Therapy, Family Resource Center etc.).
  • Assists in building faculty and staff partnerships and relationships and promotes a culture of philanthropy to ensure the necessary participation in corporate fundraising growth.
  • Manages inventory and ordering process of promotional and branded materials for the entire CHF team.
  • Provides support for scheduling and managing corporate fundraising team hospital tours.
  • Assists in developing briefing materials for site visits, tours, check presentations and meetings with prospective and current donors.
  • Supports corporate fundraising team with administrative processes like data entry, gift reports, activity reports, etc.
  • Maintains master calendar for corporate fundraising team to include partner activations, team meetings, etc. 

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of experience in non-profit/fundraising work or sales and account management related field.
  • Excellent written and communication skills. 
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work as part of a team. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and constituent management databases.
  • Ability to participate in activities and special events oftentimes after hours.
  • Access to reliable transportation as needed to perform job duties.
  • Must be able to work effectively and independently with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highest ethical standards, attention to confidentiality and willingness to fully comply with VCU's interpretation of HIPAA law as it relates to fundraising.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad spectrum of people, including team members, donors and other external audiences.
  • Emotional intelligence, empathy and ability to relate to individuals impacted by health experiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment.
     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience within a health care and/or children's hospital fundraising environment.
  • Experience with Blackbaud products, specifically Raiser’s Edge.
     

Work type:

Children's Hospital Foundation is committed to providing employees with a supportive work environment focused on collaboration, efficiency and flexibility and therefore deploys a designated team hybrid work model. This role will operate on a hybrid model that includes a combination of remote and on-site hours, based on a schedule set with their manager.

From $40,000; commensurate with experience.
