Welcome to VCU! I’m Carolyn, and I was born and raised in San Diego, I decided to venture out to the east coast to pursue my undergraduate studies and play volleyball at Johns Hopkins. I went to medical school at VCU and stayed at VCU for residency because of the supportive culture and an abundance of opportunities to learn and grow as a physician. I appreciate the diverse patient population that we get to care for at VCU. I am still undecided about my career path after residency but excited with all the potential options.

Richmond is an amazing city with so much to offer for those who love to explore! Some of my favorite activities include Friday night comedy shows at Buskey Cider, going to the South of the James Farmer’s Market, and having picnics on Brown's Island. Richmond is also in close proximity to many other cities including Norfolk (go Navy!) and Washington DC and New York are just a train ride away!
