Outpatient mental health services at Virginia Treatment Center for Children
At Virginia Treatment Center for Children, we are committed to offering comprehensive and compassionate care to support the mental health and well-being of our patients and their families. We know treatment works – and we treat families with compassion, respect and clinical expertise.
We offer a comprehensive array of evaluations and treatments for mental health concerns. Our team of psychologists and behavioral health clinicians conduct thorough evaluations, offer medication management services and deliver tailored, individual and group therapy to meet the unique needs of each child. With expertise in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), parent management training (PMT), family therapy and other evidence-based interventions, our professionals are specially equipped to provide effective care.

Clinical research studies
VTCC and the Department of Psychiatry conduct research studies to help inform and treat child and adolescent mental health. Our empathetic and passionate research team aims to support the needs of children and their families through studies that include both observation (no treatment) and intervention (medication and/or therapy treatment).
