Pediatric hospital medicine fellowship
Developing future hospitalists that will help care for all children
Started in July 2015, the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU's (CHoR) Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship is a two year VCU GME accredited training program. The fellowship program provides clinical, education, research, quality improvement, and leadership training with the goal of developing future hospitalists who will become leaders in academic as well as community hospitalist programs.
Hospital medicine fellowship receives ACGME accreditation
Our pediatric hospital medicine fellowship recently received ACGME accreditation – joining just 40 other programs across the country – and standing tall as the only of its kind in Virginia. The two-year program trains future pediatric hospital medicine specialists with an emphasis on five pillars – clinical care, medical education, research, quality improvement and leadership. Our unique program also offers the opportunity to complete leadership certification programs, further preparing the next generation of bright, compassionate docs who care for kids in the hospital.
