Pediatric fellowship application information

How to apply

Most of our fellowship programs participate in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) and the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) (the exception being our hospital medicine fellowship program). Application to the fellowship programs are highly competitive. Persons who wish to apply should be board-eligible or board-certified in pediatrics.

Application materials needed 
(All submitted through ERAS) 

  • Current curriculum vitae 
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation 
  • Personal statement 
  • Certified USMLE board scores 
  • Medical school transcript with registrar’s seal (and Dean’s letter – Medical Student Performance Evaluation) 
  • Copy of medical diploma 
  • Notarized copy of the ECFMG certificate (for international medical graduates) ?

Application reviews and interviews

Once we have received all application materials in good order, virtual interviews are scheduled. During the interview, candidates will have the opportunity to meet faculty and fellows and participate in rounds or conferences. We interview on Fridays only.

July 1, 2020 – Candidates begin applying through ERAS 

Aug. 12 - Sept. 15, 2020 – Applications are reviewed 

Sept. 1 - Oct. 15, 2020 – Invitations for interviews are sent 

Sept. - Oct. 2020 – Interview cycle 

Oct.28, 2020 – NRMP rank order list opens 

Dec. 2, 2020 – NRMP rank order list closes (9 p.m. EST) 

Dec.16, 2020 – Match Day
