Pediatric endocrinology fellowship

Developing future pediatric endocrinologists who will be excellent clinicians, passionate educators and grounded in research

The Children's Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) fellowship program in endocrinology and diabetes is a three-year ACGME accredited training program.

The fellowship program provides:

  • Individualized and flexible curriculum for clinical, education and research training. These include options for dedicated training pathways for medical education or research as part of the three-year training.
  • Benefit of a moderate-sized program that allows close faculty-fellow interaction with a clinical patient portfolio that is rich in complexity and diversity.
  • Program and institutional leadership that encourages and prioritizes personal and professional development of trainees by dedicated mentoring, research support and opportunities to present at local, regional and national platforms.
  • The graduates of this program have achieved a 100% board rate and secured positions in private and academic medicine of their choice.

About our fellowship program

Excellent opportunities are available for research in clinical, translational and basic science disciplines.

The program offers two tracks: A conventional pathway for those interested in a well-rounded educational experience and a separate track that also leads to the completion of the master’s degree in public health with expertise in epidemiology.

We also offer a combined Medicine-Pediatrics Endocrinology Fellowship in collaboration with the division of adult endocrinology.
