Favorite things about residency at CHoR:
When I was looking into residencies, it was most important to me that the program have 1. a positive, nurturing learning environment, 2. acuity with excellent diversity of pathology, 3. flexibility and emphasis on work life balance, and 4. be situated in a fun city with great food. That was definitely the vibe I picked up on interview day at VCU and I have luckily felt all of that has been true to my experience here over the last couple of years. I have loved growing into myself as a pediatrician all while having fun with an exceptional group of co-residents, ancillary staff, and attendings. Additionally, the two-week tandem schedule is truly built in wellness, and made intern year very doable while still living life.

Favorite things to do and eat in Richmond / Hobbies:
I am highly food motivated, so I love exploring all the foods Richmond has to offer! If I had one dream day to do a food adventure of all my favorite Richmond spots, it'd probably go something like this: Breakfast with a croissant from SubRosa (would honestly end up with more than just 1 tbh), head over to ZZQ to get some amazing BBQ (Beef. Brisket.) for lunch, an afternoon snack with a giant cake slice from Shyndigz, and then enjoy some Szechuan food for dinner at Peter Chang's. Aside from eating, I love to read, take walks by the James River, and play games! The Henrico County Library system is home to some of the most beautiful libraries that are great for cozying up with a book or getting some work done. There are lots of beautiful walks nestled right next to our downtown, and I love being able to take a 20 minute walk and find myself next to the soothing sounds of the river. Finally, I am a big board games fan (my favorite currently is Parks! I've taught it to so many people.), and I love simulation and strategy video games.

Fun fact about me:
My low key superpower is that I am very quick to learn and memorize song lyrics!
