Taking a closer look at your child’s DNA
Medicine has advanced in recent years and given us greater knowledge of inherited medical conditions. Our genetic counselors and specialists work with expectant parents to understand and cope with genetic risk issues before or during pregnancy. Genetic testing is available for more than 1,500 conditions. If a particular condition, such as cystic fibrosis or heart disease, runs in your family, reach out and speak to one of our counselors.
In addition, children who have birth defects, metabolic disorders and inherited medical conditions receive special care from our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and counselors.
