Research areas

Dr. Miller Ferguson's research focuses on traumatic brain injury in children, translational and clinical. Her clinical research has centered on how intracranial hypertension and cerebral hypoperfusion impact injury and outcomes. She has also focused on an oft-neglected portion of TBI- abusive head trauma and the differences between AHT and accidental. Dr. Miller Ferguson's translational research is in a juvenile rodent model of diffuse brain injury investigating developmental stages and neuroinflammation.
