About CHRI
Research to improve health and achieve a better future for our children
Mission
The mission of the Child Health Research Institute (CHRI) at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU is to ask and answer critical research questions that will lead to improved health and a better future for our children.
Vision
By focusing the attention of researchers, families, funders and clinicians from across Virginia Commonwealth University campus and beyond, the CHRI will catalyze the development of critical investigations designed to enhance the health and development of children from our community and around the world. These will enhance our visibility, attract outstanding new faculty and trainees, raise external funding and philanthropy investments and improve education efforts.
Growing research at CHoR
Through the generous support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, we are launching CHRI 2.0. Initiatives include training programs from postdocs to residents to graduate students; expanding our successful CHRI awards program; focusing intense resources on selected research theme areas; and by strengthening the support staff that support a diverse pediatric focused grant portfolio.
The Pediatric Research Office and CHRI team is ready to support you!
