Keith Derco, MD

Dr. Derco is a retired community pediatrician. He completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Pittsburgh and was resident and chief resident at Cincinnati Children’s, both top 10 Pediatric Hospitals. He practiced general pediatrics in Florida for 14 years and then joined the faculty of the VCU department of pediatrics for 5 years where he directed the resident continuity clinic and was chairman of the admissions committee of the School of Medicine. In 2000, he became the founding partner of Associates in Pediatrics, now a five-physician practice, from which he retired in 2017. He joined CHOR in 2018 as the community partnership liaison and now serves as the Medical Director of Virginia Children’s Care Network as well as the Director of Physician Community Relations.

His main goal is to serve and unite the entire pediatric community around OUR new Children’s Hospital.
