School nurse conference
Through collaborations with Virginia Department of Education, the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, we work to present content annually on pediatric healthcare topics relevant to school nurses and school program staff.

Our presentations are targeted toward pediatric physicians, nurses and other health care providers and community members who care for children.
Sample topics include:
- Current nationwide health concerns – COVID-19, sports concussions and obesity
- Multidisciplinary conditions – autism, craniofacial malformations, and pain management
- Pediatric mental health topics – suicide risk screening, human trafficking and neuropsychology
- Clinicopathologic Cases – hypercalcemia, neutropenia, hypoglycemia and failure to thrive
