Committed to supporting physicians and patients in heart care.
Zachary Kitchen is a certified physician’s assistant (PA-C) who works with the physicians, nurses, and staff of the VCU Pauley Heart Center. He treats individuals with a variety of heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias. Often times, his patients have been hospitalized, or they are coming in for a routine procedure such as cardiac catheterization or ablation. Prior to joining VCU Health, he held a fellowship on the University of Colorado’s medical campus, and brings this inpatient and hospital medicine experience to his work in Richmond. Outside of VCU, he has a passion for leading outdoor activities and “adapting to whatever activities the local environment offers” — which in RVA includes hiking, camping, biking, and watersports.
