Pediatrics
Dr. McKenna maintains a primary focus on clinical care of patients but is also involved in several other projects. He is working with the Office of Clinical Transformation as an M.D. informaticist, helping to implement electronic medical records hospital wide and working toward national goals of personal health records and increased access to information. In addition, he is part of a hospital-wide project to develop and implement a patient Web portal to allow ease of communication, scheduling and sharing of clinical information and education. He is the MD champion of the Medical-Legal Partnership Richmond, a project designed to link families with unmet legal needs with free legal advice and representation. He is also interested in family-centered care and is working with the Department of Pediatrics to implement family-centered practices.

Learn more about the Press Ganey survey
In order to provide our patients and visitors with the most accurate and useful information, we only post physician satisfaction data when a physician has received a minimum of 30 returned surveys. For this provider, we have not yet received the minimum.
The ballots have been cast for the ‘Top Docs’ in the region. Each year Richmond magazine asks doctors in Central Virginia to think about which local care providers they would visit themselves or recommend to family members. When the votes were tallied, 76 of your favorite CHoR physicians and surgeons made this year’s list…and Dr. Kerri Carter even made the cover!
