Bio

Dr. McKenna is a general pediatrician who loves working with children and families to help them be as healthy as possible. He divides his time between clinical practice and work in medical informatics – focusing particularly on the effective use of technologies to enhance the patient experience and improve communication among all members of the health care team. He also works with communities in Nicaragua and Peru on global health projects. As a member of the VCU and Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU faculty, he has been able to pursue all of these passions while teaching and learning from the next generation of health care providers.
