Dr. Patrick Olomu, MD, FRCA, FMCA (Honoris Causa) is a Professor of Anesthesiology and the Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. He also serves as Interim Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Olomu is board certified in General Anesthesiology with sub-specialty certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology. He is actively involved in building multidisciplinary pediatric anesthesia programs, mentoring trainees and junior faculty, and advancing evidence-based practice through institutional and multi-center collaborations.
He is recognized globally as key opinion leader in pediatric difficult airway management and currently serves as the Chair of the Global Pediatric Difficult Intubation Collaborative.
