Dr. Gary Tye re-joined in the VCU faculty in 2017. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Society of Pediatric Neurosurgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery.
Dr. Tye was named a 'Top Doc' in the Coastal Virginia region from 2015 to 2017 and a Richmond 'Top Doc' from 2018 to 2024.
Dr. Tye is also part of the Hydrocephalus Clinical Research Network, a multi-center pediatric neurosurgery group that does multicenter studies together.
