Dr. Nelson joined the VCU faculty in the fall of 2018. He previously practiced for seven years in Connecticut after finishing his Pediatric Urology fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr Nelson has a particular interest in circumcision/circumcision revisions, hyposopadias, undescended testicles/retractile testicles, voiding dysfunction, varicoceles, and the management of kidney stone disease in children. Dr. Nelson is very active in resident and student teaching and is a board-certified member of the American Urologic Association. In his free time, he is busy following New England sports and keeping up with his four daughters.
