Bio

Dr. Shah joined Virginia Commonwealth University in 2021. He practices as a child and adolescent psychiatrist in the outpatient psychiatry clinic. 

Dr. Shah is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) and American Psychiatric Association (APA). He served as the Advocacy Liaison for an AACAP regional organization and completed the George Washington University Residency Fellowship in Health Policy program in 2021. He has been recognized for his service to patients and medical trainees, as well as mental health advocacy efforts at local and national levels.  He has received several advocacy, educational, and leadership awards throughout his career.
