Bio
Courtney graduated with her master’s degree in occupational therapy from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in December 2012 and was hired by Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) at VCU in January 2013. She also earned her post-professional occupational therapy doctorate from Boston University in September 2020.
While at CHoR at VCU, Courtney served as a fieldwork instructor, leader of the sports core committee, occupational therapy student coordinator, and co-creator of an interdisciplinary home programming library.
She is a certified kinesio taping practitioner, a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), and a member of the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association (VOTA). She received the Barbara Howard Memorial Scholarship from VOTA during enrollment in her master's program.
