Bio
Christi is a current member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and has a membership in the special interest group 5 focusing on Craniofacial and Velopharyngeal Disorders. She has also been a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association. She has received the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in 2015 and 2020; recognizing professionals who have demonstrated their commitment to lifelong learning by earning 7.0 ASHA continuing education units within a 36 month period. She has always enjoyed working with children and has developed a passion for working with children with cleft palate / craniofacial anomalies as well as children with complex communication needs as a member of the Assistive Technology Team.
Christi loves spending quality family with her husband and two young children. She enjoys vacationing in the OBX, as well as exploring the great outdoors hiking and camping with her husband and children. Christi is also a certified scuba diver along with her husband and has completed numerous open water dives and a shipwreck dive.
