Bio

Dr. Lawson joined the Pauley Heart Center in 2016 as an Assistant Professor, specializing in Interventional and Structural Cardiology.

 

Dr. Lawson’s clinical expertise includes coronary artery disease and structural heart disease. Her procedural skills include coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), balloon aortic valvuloplasty, percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects and patent foramen ovale, and alcohol septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Outside of the cath lab, Dr. Lawson’s interests include medical education and critical care cardiology.

Dr. Lawson is exceptional. She was well-informed about my medical history (she must've combed through MyChart before this appt.). She was very thoughtful in her questions. She listened very actively to my medical updates & concerns. She explained my options for surgery very clearly & was quiet re-assuring - she put me at ease. She made me feel like I was her only patient of the day. Never rushed. She was very "relaxed" in her body language also. Sharp doctor! Very impressive!
