Dr. Chahin is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a NBME Strategic Educators Enhancement Fellowship (SEEF) second cohort fellow, and an Academic Pediatric Association Research Scholar cohort 6 scholar. He serves as Associate Program Director of Intern Recruitment for the Department of Pediatric Residency Program and Program Director of the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship.
Dr. Chahin served a two-year term as the Richmond delegate for the Virginia AAP Chapter and currently serves as Co-Chair for the APA region IV planning committee, Co-Chair of the ONTPD planning committee and member of the National Neonatal Bootcamp Planning Committee.
Clinically, Dr. Chahin serves as attending faculty in our level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the Neonatal Continuing Care Program Regional Neonatal Follow-up Program and on the CHoR Air and Ground NICU Transport Team. Dr. Chahin leads the CHOR NICU Unplanned Extubation Committee and the Research Committee for the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Dr. Chahin enjoys skiing, playing the guitar, mountain and road biking and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
