Dr. Miheret Yitayew is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics - Section on Neonatal Perinatal Medicine. She cares for newborn patients in our neonatal intensive care Unit (NICU). She is also a member of our air and ground NICU transport team and sees patients through our regional Neonatal Continuing Care Program.
Dr. Yitayew's primary research interest focuses on preterm infant nutrition to optimize growth and neurodevelopmental outcomes. She is also a lead neonatologist in our NICU's small baby care quality improvement program.
Dr. Yitayew is from Ethiopia. She enjoys playing table tennis and spending time with her husband and two young children.
