Dr. Jenny Fox has been part of the VCU team since her undergraduate medical training. She stayed at VCU for her pediatric residency training and NICU fellowship and then joined the Division of Neonatal Medicine faculty in 2014. She spent many years as joint faculty, working in community hospital NICU’s, helping to develop their clinical programs. She became full-time faculty attending in the CHoR NICU in 2022. She is the director of the NICU Simulation Education Program and Neonatal Resuscitation Program. She is a current member of the National AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program Steering Committee and the AAP National NICU Fellow Bootcamp Committee. She also has a strong interest in supporting lactation in the NICU. As an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, she is the director of CHoR's NICU lactation services and serves on the NICU Nutrition Committee. She is also interested in improving clinical communication and family support for patients with medical complex diagnoses. She is currently developing the SNUG HUGS NICU program to assist with early transition home and support of NICU patients continuing to require feeding tube support and management.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fox enjoys cooking, yoga, and running with her yellow lab. She is often seen cheering on her three children at baseball games, basketball games, soccer games, tennis matches, and music and dance recitals!
