Dr. Kalahasty is Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at VCU Medical Center and serves as consultant in cardiac electrophysiology at McGuire VA Medical Center. He also has consultative and procedural privileges at Mary Washington Hospital, MedCorp, in Fredericksburg, Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond and Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville.
Dr. Kalahasty is a frequent cardiology lecturer to various groups at VCU Medical Center, including the Division of Nurse Anesthesia, the Department of Anesthesia, the Division of Cardiology, and the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
In 2005, the Cardiology Fellowship Teaching Program recognized his instructional skills with the Excellence in Teaching Award. He has had articles and abstracts published by JAMA; the World Congress on Cardiac Pacing and Electrophysiology; and PACE, the journal of pacing and clinical electrophysiology.
