I could not have been happier with my doctor. I felt like he truly cares about what he does. If I have further complications, I will definitely be coming back to this office for him.

Our doctor was so friendly and knowledgeable! We were there for some not so great news originally and he definitely put our minds at ease. He listened to what I had to say and did a great job explaining exactly what they were looking for. I can't recommend him enough!

Dr Bhurtel was phenomenal. He drew excellent anatomical pictures of the heart. Educated my 12-year old. Engaged him in his care. Was completely focused on [...]. They hd their own discussion, I was happily in the background. My child was his patient and never just a number. He showed my child respect. I've worked with cardiologists for 31 years. Dr Bhurtel is by far the most outstanding of them all.

I could cry writing this because Dr Bhurtel truly saved my sanity and saved my baby from an unnecessary surgery. We came for a second opinion, the doctor at another hospital wanted to sedate, radiate, and potentially cut my baby for a possible vascular ring. I was so scared, as this was my greatest fear since she was diagnosed with her right sided aortic arch in utero. I wish so badly Dr. Bhurtel had been my baby's cardiologist from the beginning of this case, because it would have saved me so much worry. He was so kind in explaining the situation to me, but most of all, I appreciate THE WAY he practices medicine. He took into account how my child is doing, the nature of the condition, how It could progress and my ability to assess my daughter when creating a plan for her. He discussed with me different therapies he would recommend before going to surgery if she were to become symptomatic. To think, if I didn't get a second opinion with you, I would have gotten an unnecessary surgery on my healthy baby. I know a right sided arch is probably quite a small issue in pediatric cardiology, but Dr. Bhurtel made us feel so important. I am forever grateful for his kindness toward us and for how he practices medicine. If I should ever need a specialist or hospital again, I will probably go with vcu because if my experience with Dr. Bhurtel. Also I think the doctor who was working ultrasound that day was called dr. Tran, she was also incredible and worked extremely hard to get good images, along with her team of techs/nurses.

Dr. Bhurtel did an excellent job of speaking with my 13 y.o. explaining to him.
