Bio

Dr. McQuilkin joined the VCU faculty in 2016. He was in private practice for more than 10 years before joining the Children's Hospital Foundation Heart Center team at CHoR. Dr. McQuilkin is a 2014 Richmond Top Doc and a member of the Richmond Academy of Medicine.

The medical bar has been set- no one could ever top this physician. His demeanor & bed side manner coupled with his confidence in your diagnosis moved us both to tears. We have been looking for answers for entirely too long & he is an absolute gift. Grateful beyond words. The best of the very best!!!

Dr. MCQ is perhaps the best doc we have ever met, and we have met many. His calm demeanor, knowledge, ability to listen and gain all info before assessing made us feel so confident in all he recommended. We wish we could give him 10/5. This man is an angel to us as we needed someone who understood [...] and despite seeing numerous doctors since diagnosis before him, we now finally understand what it is and all the ways it affects life. He took so much time and was so down to earth and compassionate. We spent the whole drive home marveling and thanking God for getting this amazing doctor.

I feel listened to. I could not believe that we got answers to questions and concerns we've had for years. I expected to begin a process of appts that might a year or so before getting an answer and diagnosis. That was not what happened. The dr really listened, asked great questions, and we got a diagnosis. I am still in shock from how well the experience went and wish I'd left [...] yrs ago.
