Safe Kids VA
Safe Kids Worldwide was founded in 1987, dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries to children ages 14 and under. Nine Safe Kids Coalitions and two Safe Kids chapters in Virginia are actively working to support that goal through the following activities:
- Conducting public outreach and awareness campaigns
- Stimulating hands-on grassroots activity
- Creating safe environments
- Working to make injury prevention a public policy priority
Public awareness activities include:
- Car seat safety checks
- Bicycle rodeos
- Pedestrian safety training
- Water safety
Safe Kids VA Mission and Vision
Mission: To create an environment in Virginia where children 14-years-old and under are free from accidental injuries through partnerships, advocacy, public awareness and education.
Vision: For Virginia's children to have a safe place to grow and play, free from accidental injuries.

Create a coalition
