Conditions and treatment
Muscular dystrophy includes diseases that can weaken and break down muscles over time. In addition to muscular dystrophy, our clinical team treats children with:
- Friedreich's ataxia, a genetic disorder that can impact arms and legs (walking), as well as speech
- Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness
- Spinal muscular atrophy, a rare disorder than can break down muscles
