Erica Durham, DO
Lincoln Memorial University, DeBusk COOM
Hiiii guys! My name is Erica and I’m so excited to meet you all! I’m from both Tennessee where I grew up until elementary school and then moved to Wisconsin for high school and college at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I then attended medical school back in Tennessee at LMU-DCOM in Memphis. I chose VCU because I was so impressed with Richmond and all the fitness opportunities that we have here. I am a cross-fit junkie and there are loads of cool gyms to go to throughout the area. Other interests of mine are sushi, going to the beach, watching Netflix, shopping, and running along the river where I live. Something that stands out about our program is all of the amazing current interns. We are such a fun and intelligent crowd and I really feel supported by our family, our upper-level residents, and our attendings. I really like the size of our program and that you are rarely the solo resident on a rotation. Our two-week inpatient/ two-week outpatient tandem schedule is another benefit to our program so no one gets too overwhelmed on a rotation. Last but not least, I met my amazing roommate through this program and she has the cutest pup that I love to spend time with! I’m so excited you are considering VCU for residency, and I look forward to meeting you via Zoom this year and possibly next year in the hospital!
