Welcome to VCU! My name is Jacob, and I’m one of the second year categorical residents. I’m originally from Kentucky aka the land of bourbon and horses (which is another great place to live), but I fell in love with Richmond the very first time I visited. From white water rafting to museums to the food/beer scene, whatever you’re in to we probably have it here. Our program is full of dedicated attendings who are passionate about patient care and resident education, and my fellow residents are some of the best people I’ve ever met. Richmond is just a great place to work and live, and I can’t imagine matching somewhere else.
