Eastern Virginia Medical School

Hello everybody!! My names Grace and I’m a PGY3 here at VCU Peds. We are ecstatic to have you and so grateful for your consideration! I’m not quite Virginia born but I am Virginia raised. I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley which is beyond gorgeous. I went to the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA for undergraduate; it’s juxtaposed right next to a colonial reenactment which certainly made things interesting. I moved even further east for medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, very close to the beach. And finally, I’ve ended up at VCU here in Richmond, VA for residency and I can say without a doubt that this is my favorite place I have ever lived. So much so that I will be staying on for chief year, with plans to stay in the area for primary care when I’m done! Yes, the beauty of the area has impacted that but so has this amazing children’s hospital and all of the wonderful co-workers, attendings, and friends I’ve made here. When I’m not busy being a resident you will, invariably, find me being unabashedly nerdy. I’m a voracious reader, TV and animation lover, video game player. I’ve also got a huge (100+) collection of board games and always down for game night! And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I love Star Wars and Nintendo, two of my very favorite things — besides my cats and beloved golden retriever, of course. Anyways, please feel free to shoot me a message if you ever want to chat about anything at all! We can’t wait to meet you!
