Our facilities

Pediatrics is a big priority for all of VCU Health

We have premier facilities, and with the completion of our Children's Tower in spring 2023, we’ll have an entire city block dedicated to caring for kids!

Children's Pavilion

The Children's Pavilion offers a new standard of outpatient care, custom-made for kids. The Children's Pavilion is home to outpatient clinics, radiology, surgery, lab testing, dialysis, infusions, family amenities and more.

Here is what our patients and families have to say!

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Our neonatal fellowship-trained specialists offer complete Level 4 neonatal care – among the highest levels of care available in Virginia.

The NICU’s special features include 32 private rooms, 4 double-patient rooms for multiples (twins, triplets) , adjustable lighting, developmental care space, overnight accommodations for parents in your child’s room, palliative care suite, procedure room, two negative pressure rooms and more.

Virginia Treatment Center for Children

Our facility is built around the theme of natural elements: natural light, outdoor spaces, bright colors, and activity. The aesthetics incite positivity, health, and happiness among our patients. With access to outside spaces and a wide array of therapy services, we strive to soothe and stabilize the children that see us.

New tower - home to inpatient and emergency care

This new inpatient and emergency facility will complete an entire city block dedicated to the care of kids.

Inpatient units and the ER currently located in the VCU Medical Center will soon have their own child-friendly home in the new tower adjacent to our outpatient Children’s Pavilion.
