James joined the Children's Hospital Foundation team in July 2017, and his primary responsibilities include accounting, financial planning, and financial reporting. Coming from a background in financial roles at Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU and Cumberland Hospital for Children, James has worked in children's hospitals for most of his career and enjoys helping kids.
James was born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania where his mother and six siblings continue to live. He enjoys golfing, playing poker, and is an enthusiastic fan of all Pittsburgh college and professional sports teams. Since moving to Richmond in 1990, he also has become a huge VCU Ram fan.
James and his wife, Cathy, are aunt and uncle to 18 nieces and nephews and great aunt and great uncle to their 17 children. Needless to say, they stay busy when visiting family.
