Hemophilia Treatment Center
If your child has been diagnosed with hemophilia or other bleeding disorder, you anticipate it to be a lifelong concern. But with knowledge and careful management, your child can live a healthy normal life.
Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU specialists at the Central Virginia Center for Coagulation Disorders' Hemophilia Treatment Center educate and care for patients and their families. It is Virginia's only "lifespan" center for bleeding and clotting disorders, treating both children and adults.
Experts at the center care for patients with the following conditions:
- Glanzmann's thrombasthenia
- Platelet dysfunction
- Von Willebrand Disease
- Other acquired bleeding disorders
Dedicated coagulation laboratories enhance and expedite the diagnosis, management and monitoring of our patients with bleeding disorders.
Educational and social support programs offered in collaboration with the VA Hemophilia Foundation.
