Christos joined the faculty at the Children's Hospital Foundation Heart Center in December 2017. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Physiology at McGill University in Montreal. He then obtained his graduate degree in cardiovascular perfusion from the Universite de Montreal and the Michener Institute while training at Sick Kids in Toronto and Sainte-Justine Hospital in Montreal. Christos obtained both the Canadian and American certifications to practice cardiovascular perfusion and was recognized for his academic achievements. After graduating in June 2000, he joined the Montreal Children's Hospital of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). In 2005 he became Chief of Pediatric Perfusion and ECMO Services at Montreal Children's. He received many awards for his contributions to excellent patient care at the MUHC. He also obtained his Diploma in Health Care Management at McGill University.
Christos was recognized for his contributions in the field of pediatric perfusion by being awarded a Fellow in Pediatric Perfusion by the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology. He has presented at many international, national and local conferences and is recognized as an expert in his field. He also is an invited reviewer for the journals Perfusion and Artificial Organs.
Christos is a member and Fellow of the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology, the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion, Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion, Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery and American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion.
