Monday, June 9, 2014
Judy Voynow, MD, has been awarded a prestigious Commonwealth Health Research Board (CHRB) grant for $266,000 to study the effect of a new inhaled therapy to prevent progression of cystic fibrosis lung disease.
On average, the CHRB funds five new grants per year to "promote and protect the health of the citizens of the Commonwealth through human health research." The CHRB funds proposals from institutions of higher education, agencies of the Commonwealth and nonprofit organizations. The three step grant process includes submission of a concept paper (limited to 15 across the Commonwealth), invitation to submit a full proposal, and selection for invitation to present a full proposal to the CHRB.
