    Nationally Ranked Kidney Care

U.S. News & World Report has named Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR) among the nation's top children's hospitals for nephrology (kidney care) for three years in a row

    Multidisciplinary Approach

CHoR is home to the Richmond region's only pediatric nephrology program. From diagnosis to long-term treatment, the full range of medical and support services for kidney and urinary tract disorders are available at CHoR.

The nephrology team includes nephrologists, a dietitian, nurse educator and social worker. Many children with kidney diseases have poor appetites and growth, and require assistance from a dietitian. Often families of a child with kidney disease require education in the care of their child and a child may also have school or community support needs. Our team will address the needs of the whole child and the family.

      Conditions
