CHoR recently opened a new therapy center in the Aquia Park area of Stafford Va. The Center provides increased access to pediatric therapy services for children and families who live north of Richmond. The 3,600-square-foot child-friendly facility includes:
- Eight treatment rooms
- A gym with specialized equipment for coordination, strength and balance
- Designated areas for casting
- Sensory development space
- Room dedicated to assistive technology
CHoR has provided community-based therapy services to families who live north of Richmond since opening the Fredericksburg Therapy Center in 2003. "The demand for additional services in this area of Virginia was apparent by the Fredericksburg Therapy Center?s growing waitlists," said Alison Meletis, SLP, Manager of the Stafford Therapy Center. "Our therapy center staff is excited to provide quality therapy services and to offer another convenient option for children and families in the Stafford community and surrounding areas."
The Stafford Therapy Center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the center?s team of pediatric-trained therapists provides occupational, physical and speech/language therapy to children and adolescents (birth to age 21) with a variety of diagnoses.
